Terms of Use

Last updated: March 15, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Rellio (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and contributors.

2. Description of Service

Rellio is an authorship proof platform that records writing session metadata, generates cryptographic proof chains, and issues verifiable authorship certificates. The Service captures timing patterns and session metadata — not the content of your documents. No readable text from your writing is transmitted to or stored on our servers.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@rellio.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Permitted Use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the Service's security or integrity features.
  • Use the Service to generate fraudulent authorship claims for documents you did not write.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers against the Service without express written permission.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

5. Authorship Certificates

Rellio authorship certificates are cryptographic records of your writing session metadata. They do not constitute legal proof of intellectual property ownership and should not be interpreted as such. Rellio makes no warranties about the acceptance of certificates in any legal, academic, or professional context.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all content you write. By using the Service, you grant Rellio a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and store the session metadata necessary to generate your authorship certificates. We do not claim any ownership of your written content.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Rellio does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rellio and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@rellio.app. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms of Use should be directed to legal@rellio.app.
